FestiGals: 3 Things You Need to Know

If you’re thinking about joining hundreds of other women for the annual FestiGals Getaway Weekend, here are a few things you need to know!
1. So What is FestiGals?
FestiGals Girlfriend Getaway Weekend is New Orleans first and only women-centric festival. The event is held each summer for women to enjoy themselves, be inspired and become empowered in a safe, festive environment. Past participants have described it as “an event where they were able not only to restore their sense of purpose but also, recapture their dreams and rejuvenate their souls.”
While FestiGals is a full weekend experience it can be broken down into three main events: The New Orleans Women’s Conference, the Bodacious Bras for a Cause Brunch, and the Stiletto Stroll. This is a short summary of what we have in store for you!
Friday is the New Orleans Women’s Conference at FestiGals where guests will attend seminars by expert speakers on subjects most important to you! This includes a Keynote Luncheon where you can enjoy an inspiring message by the electrifying Carla Harris.
Saturday begins with a Bloody Mary Mixer and the Bodacious Bra Art Show where you can view decorated bras made to raise money for cancer. This is followed by the Bodacious Bras for a Cause Brunch featuring a live auction of bras and bra-inspired original art to benefit CAGNO & Breastoration.
The next event is the Stiletto Stroll Pre-Party at Harrah’s Casino. Afterwards, the Stiletto Stroll Second Line Parade will wind through the Warehouse District, to an After-Glow Party at Mardi Gras World, benefiting New Orleans Family Justice Center.

3. You are Helping a Sister Out
While FestiGals is a fun weekend to celebrate you, it’s also a way to give back to causes specific to women just like you. To date, the Bodacious Bras for a Cause Luncheon & Auction and the Bodacious Bras Challenge have raised over $95,000 with 100% of the proceeds dedicated to women’s causes. This year, our events will benefit Breastoration, CAGNO, and the New Orleans Family Justice Center which supports domestic violence victims.
