A Diva's Perspective of FestiGals Weekend
FestiGals is just around the corner, so we took time to catch up with one of our Dynamic Divas about what she is most excited to attend.
What made you decide to come to FestiGals this year? I've been coming to FestiGals for a few years and always leave inspired and motivated by the community of women. It is empowering to spend the weekend with fun, successful women, learning from their experiences and discussing issues the modern woman faces. It’s a combo of personal and professional development that makes me want to sing a Girl Power anthem. What do you hope to get out of your FestiGals experience? During Friday’s sessions, I hope to learn from my peers how they navigate some of life’s complicated issues, such as work-life balance, managing stress, self-empowerment and how to live like B-O-S-S. But, most of all, I want to have a fun weekend. Life is busy and it’s easy to get lost in the hustle. It’s important to take the time to unwind, have fun and celebrate who we are! What seminar(s) are you the most excited to attend? There are so many! The Friday sessions feature many women I respect and admire, such as Sallie Ann Glassman, Dima Ghawi and Leah Chase, and some respected friends, like Kate Russel. I can’t miss the luncheon with keynote Carla Harris – an extraordinary woman who has climbed the ranks of Fortune 500 Company, while maintaining her grace and humor. I’m also very excited for the new FestiTalks, rapid-fire sessions akin to Ted Talks with just enough time to ignite an idea and inspire. Are there any other events you're looking forward to? The Bodacious Bras for a Cause luncheon! Who can resist a fancy, festi luncheon for a good cause? Any last words about the approaching event? There’s a little something for everyone at FestiGals. For professional women looking to advance their careers and tackle tough issues, the Friday Women’s Business Conference is for you. Just looking to have a little fun while celebrating women? See you at the Stiletto Stroll! All in all, anyone who wants to treat themselves – whether it be with personal development, laughter, community or a bodacious bra – FestiGals is the ultimate women’s weekend.
